Martial Arts For Children 7-12 Years Old

We know there are lots of activities available to choose from, and only 7 days in the week. As parents, it can be challenging trying to decide which activities will fit your schedule, are within your budget, will be fun, and which will be the most beneficial to your child.

Students begin martial arts training versus other activities for many reasons. Here is what parents tell us most often when they enroll their children to train at PMAC.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to sign a long term contract?

No, at PMAC we do not require members to sign 1, 2, or 3 year contracts. All PMAC agreements may be cancelled with 30 days notice using our simple online cancellation form.

Will my child get hurt doing martial arts?

Martial arts injuries typically happen at the same frequency as other youth sports. At PMAC our staff takes student safety seriously. We offer easy to understand training, a padded workout floor, and highest quality safety equipment available.

Can my child do martial arts if they are not athletic?

Yes! Many children who don’t find success in team sports excel at martial arts. At PMAC students learn at their own pace. The best part is that with martial arts, unlike team sports, your child can’t let anyone down. Everyone has a great time regardless of their athletic level.

Does my belt rank transfer if I move?

All ranks earned at PMAC are recognized at all ATA Worldwide licensed schools throughout the world (Almost 1000 locations).

How long does it take to get a black belt?

It typically takes about 4 years of ongoing training to earn an ATA first degree black belt.

Will martial arts training make my child more violent?

No. We teach students self defense as a tool for personal growth. They learn respect, discipline, self control, and to treat others the way that they would like to be treated.
